Mob Mount Claw

Typically, yes – as long as the talons of the open claw can grasp opposing sides of the object, you can tighten it down to grab on to nearly any shape.

There are zero tools required for installation. The claw is operated by a single hand-tightened built-in screw, holding its position after tightening.

Yes - it’s as easy as twisting the built-in screw to loosen the claw, sliding it off of the surface, and reinstalling with the same process.

If properly tightened, no it will not. All three claw talons have a ribbed rubber interior surface, holding on nearly any mounting surface – smooth or not - with ease.

The main difference between the MobNetic and the Mob Mount lines are how the device itself is mounted. The MobNetic line utilizes a magnetic device mounting head, which allows for faster device removal and more mounting versatility – along with compatibility with our FLEX accessories. The Mob Mount line uses a padded three-point, single-slide cradle, holding your device a bit more securely, but not as easy on-off device access.

While not as versatile as our magnetic based housings, the claw mounts have a twist-lock ball tilt mechanism that allows for 360° device rotation, and up to 70 degrees device tilt. To adjust beyond this tilt, you will need to slightly loosen the claw to make adjustments.

The claw can grip nearly anything from 1/4" to 2” thick. If you require mounting on larger areas, reach out to us – we may have alternative mounting solutions.

The cradle itself has three padded arms, with just one sliding mechanism to hold the phone. The sliding arm presses the device into the two fixed arms, locking it into place.

The single slide features a manual twist-lock mechanism to secure the cradle. This allows for a more rugged build, with less moving parts as well as user-guided precise cradle locking.

You will need to adjust the cradle every time you insert and remove the phone. This system makes for a longer-lasting, more durable locking system for prolonged use in rough environments.

There are no additional accessories needed to mount your phone in the cradle. It was designed to work with most modern phones, even with thick cases such as an OtterBox.

It depends on your device. Any charging port in the bottom center of the phone is freely accessible, along with all buttons on the sides of your phone. Speakers are generally unaffected. As for cameras, modern phone camera array shapes and sizes have changed drastically over the time, and we find that the cradle can cover some cameras under normal use.

The cradle is built from powder-coated billet aluminum, with the device being protected from vibration and movement by closed-cell EVA foam. It does not protect your phone from environmental factors such as dirt, water, mud, flying debris, snow / ice, etc.

Technically, yes. It is designed for modern smartphones, however if your device fits within the cradle (Min/Max Cradle Height: 4.4"/7.2”; Min/Max Cradle Width: 2.4"/3.4"; Cradle Depth: 0.6"), you can mount it! Verify your devices dimensions before purchasing.

No, it does not. The cradle is solid aluminum and does not have space for an additional charger. Most devices will still have access to the charging ports on the bottom for wired charging while on-the-go.
