The main difference between the TabNetic and the Tab Mount lines are how the device itself is mounted. The TabNetic line utilizes a magnetic device mounting head, which allows for faster device removal and more mounting versatility. The Tab Mount line uses a padded three-point sliding cradle, holding your device a bit more securely, but not as simple on-off device access.

The Tab Mount is designed to hold most tablets with screen sizes 7” to 13”. With three independent sliding cradle arms, you can insert tablets of various form factors and aspect ratios with ease. The minimum and maximum cradle dimensions are 7.75” x 5”, up to 7.75” x 13.5”.

Yes, the cradle arms are designed to fit tablets or cases up to 1” thick. Check your case dimensions if you are unsure of fit – a TabNetic magnetic tablet mount may be a viable alternative if too large.

Technically yes, as long as it fits within the arms of the cradle, it will hold your device. The minimum and maximum cradle dimensions are 7.75” x 5”, up to 7.75” x 13.5”.

The Tab Mount uses three independent sliding cradle arms to lock one corner and two sides of your tablet into place. Each sliding cradle arm can be tightened and adjusted by hand with a screw-lock mechanism – no tools are necessary.

No, you do not need any additional plates or magnets to mount your tablet into the Tab Mount. The cradle will hold your device securely when properly installed. If you are interested in magnetic tablet mounting, we recommend checking out our TabNetic Maxx line.

One-handed operation is possible, yes. You can adjust each arm individually until you can freely slide your device in and out of the cradle.

There are a few different base mounting options for the Tab Mount. The most popular is Magnetic, which attaches to ferrous surfaces on its own, or elsewhere with the included Adhesive Mounting Disc, which uses residue-free VHB adhesive to mount to places like your dashboard. We also offer a Tube mounting base, with dual clamps to hold on to tubes 1.5” to 2”; as well as a Direct mounting base, which allows for more permanent mounting with included hardware. All magnetic base mounts come with Adhesive Mounting Discs, which feature a residue-free VHB adhesive to secure the steel disc to your dash or other surface. We recommend against placing the Adhesive Mounting Disc on soft surfaces like leather or fabric. If you need to mount in one of these areas, you’ll need to explore our non-magnetic mounting options, like the Tube or Direct base.

Yes, our Direct base allows for this precisely. It features a 4.25" x 2.50" Aluminum Base Plate with dual countersunk holes for 1/4-20 flat head screws – all mounting hardware is included.

Our Tube mounting base is designed for mounting on tubes or roll cages, sized from 1.5” to 2” in diameter. It features two adjustable clamps spaced 2.875” apart, ensuring a firm grasp wherever mounted.

Your tablet won’t be going anywhere. The magnetic base used in the Tab Mount Maxx has been tested and trusted everywhere from long-haul trucking, to the Baja 1000 off road race. Designed to stand up to 290lbs of pull-force, you would need to encounter some serious vehicle-damaging conditions before the mount moved.

Both the housing and the cradle are crafted from billet aluminum, which will handle harsh conditions with ease.

All Tab Mount options are capable of full 180° tilt and 360° rotation, thanks to a tensioned ball joint and dual-notched housing. You can adjust your viewing angle at any time, no tools or tightening needed.

The cradle features closed-cell EVA foam padding, which protect your device both from vibration and cosmetic damage from contact with the mount while on the move. Any area of the tablet that is exposed to the elements will not be protected unless you are using a case designed for the environment you plan on using it in.

In most cases, no, there are no issues accessing tablet hardware when mounted. Since tablets are all designed to different specifications, and this is a one-size-fits-most cradle, there are exceptions. However, depending on how you orient your tablet in the cradle, you should continue to have full access to all tablet features.

The tilt mechanism is precision spring-loaded to allow not just for easy tilt, but also maximum hold. Without excessive weight on the mounting head (significantly more than your typical tablet or device), it will remain at the same angle throughout your journeys. In the rare event that it becomes loose, the ball joint can be re-tightened using the hardware beneath the mount. If tightening doesn't resolve it, this is covered under warranty - contact us and we'll take care of it.

The Tab Mount Maxx Magnetic comes with two Large Adhesive Mounting Discs for expanded mounting locations, while the Tube and Direct come with all necessary hardware to mount securely.
