This mount works straight out of the box with MagSafe® or Qi2-compatible phones and cases (built into most newer iPhones and many iPhone/Android cases). If yours lacks MagSafe® / Qi2, add or enhance compatibility using the included Adhesive Mounting Ring or our FLEX Plate (sold separate).

Mob Armor uses a proprietary NeoCore Magnet Array, featuring device-safe magnets that are stronger than the baseline MagSafe® standard – in some cases, it can hold nearly 20x your devices weight. On top of this, our MagSafe®-compatible mounts meet all MagSafe® standards, meaning they will work seamlessly with any other MagSafe® accessory.

No, our MagSafe®-compatible phone mounts are designed for mounting only. However, all of our magnetic mounts are compatible with our FLEX Charge 2 wireless charger, which completes your setup with MagSafe® and Qi2 wireless charging.

This mount works with MagSafe®-compatible versions of those cases. Non-MagSafe® thick cases can weaken the hold or prevent magnetic connection. Check whether your case is MagSafe®-rated before ordering. If you already have a case that you like but it is not MagSafe®-compatible, you can add a Adhesive Mounting Ring (included with MagSafe® phone mounts) or our FLEX Plate (sold separate) to add or enhance MagSafe® mounting.

Rokform uses a proprietary magnet layout that may not hold reliably. MagBak magnets differ from MagSafe® standard. Contact us with your case model and we'll confirm before you order.

Standard Magnet mounts use a single neodymium magnet to mount any device, but require an Adhesive Device Plate for a secure hold. MagSafe®-compatible mounts feature our NeoCore Magnet Array, meeting MagSafe® standards to securely mount all MagSafe® and Qi2 devices straight out of the box.

Each mount is shipped with Adhesive Mounting Discs made specifically for mounting versatility. The 1.5” diameter steel disc has residue-free VHB adhesive, allowing you to create a magnet-ready mounting surface on practically any hard, smooth surface – dashboard, desk, work bench; anywhere you can stick a disc, you can mount your phone.

Our mounts to be as easy to install as they are to use daily. If you have a ferrous surface to attach the magnet base, you’re ready to go out of the box. If you need to install the included Adhesive Mounting Disc, follow the instructions closely – it's as simple as cleaning the surface and pressing down to help adhesion. However, it’s important to wait 24-48 hours for the adhesive to cure for maximum hold, before attaching a mount or phone.

Attaching an Adhesive Mounting Disc requires a flat, mostly smooth surface for maximum adhesion. Dashboards that are soft (squishy), have rough texture, or are covered with fabric or other woven material are not good candidates for mounting. We recommend an area of dashboard or trim with enough clearance for the phone to tilt to the right viewing angle, flat enough for the disc to adhere properly. Never mount in an area that interferes with driver or passenger safety (windshield, airbag covers, etc).

We offer a gel-based Adhesive Mounting Disc for surfaces that just won’t take the VHB adhesive. For an even more durable mounting base, we offer a Thick Mounting Disc that includes a screw hole and mounting hardware, for a more permanent mounting base.

You have a few different choices. First, we have the MobNetic SLIM, with an adjustable adhesive base that can conform to curved surfaces. We also have claw-mounted options that can crab on to handles, bars, or other protruding trim up to 2” wide. Lastly, we have more permanent options that can screw directly into your dashboard or other mounting area – mounting hardware included.

The main difference between the MobNetic and the Mob Mount lines are how the device itself is mounted. The MobNetic line utilizes a magnetic device mounting head, which allows for faster device removal and more mounting versatility – along with compatibility with our FLEX accessories. The Mob Mount line uses a padded three-point, single-slide cradle, holding your device a bit more securely, but not as easy on-off device access.

The device-safe, neodymium magnets are designed to hold up to 20x the weight of your phone all on their own. Anything else would get in the way – the magnets are designed to hold on through nearly any environment.

Simply lift the mount off of the disc or mounting surface – that's it! Thousands of users carry their mount between different vehicles and work areas, utilizing multiple Adhesive Mounting Discs while sticking with just one mount. A new car doesn’t mean a new mount, just a new disc.

Yes, absolutely. As long as there is enough vertical clearance underneath the device, the notch in the mount housing allows for up to 90 degrees of tilt. Plus, since the tilt mechanism is ball-and-socket, you can rotate the entire mounting head 360 degrees for maximum viewing angles.

This phone mount is designed with a ball-and-socket type tilt mechanism that requires zero tools and zero tightening to make adjustments to the mounting angle. Simply move the mounting head in the direction you desire, and mount your device!

The tilt mechanism is precision spring-loaded to allow not just for easy tilt, but also maximum hold. Without excessive weight on the mounting head (significantly more than your typical phone or device), it will remain at the same angle throughout your journeys. In the rare event that it becomes loose, the ball joint can be re-tightened using the hardware beneath the mount. If tightening doesn't resolve it, this is covered under warranty - contact us and we'll take care of it.
