Typically, yes – as long as the talons of the open claw can grasp opposing sides of the object, you can tighten it down to grab on to nearly any shape.

The claw can grip nearly anything from 1/4" to 2” thick. If you require mounting on larger areas, reach out to us – we may have alternative mounting solutions.

There are zero tools required for installation. The claw is operated by a single hand-tightened built-in screw, holding its position after tightening.

While not as versatile as our magnetic based housings, the claw mounts have a twist-lock ball tilt mechanism that allows for 360° device rotation, and up to 70 degrees device tilt. To adjust beyond this tilt, you will need to slightly loosen the claw to make adjustments.

Included in the package is a 0.02” thick Adhesive Device Plate, which sticks to the back of your phone, case, or other device, making it instantly mountable on our magnetic phone mounts. Keep in mind, that the Device Plate can interfere with wireless charging if it is placed anywhere over the charging array.

Magnetic mounts do not cause permanent damage to a phone's internal hardware. While our magnets are strong, the magnetic force is too weak to affect critical components, and magnetic fields do not drain or damage the battery. Modern smartphones also use flash memory, which is completely immune to magnets. Data cannot be erased or corrupted by a magnetic mount.

The device-safe, neodymium magnets are designed to hold up to 20x the weight of your phone all on their own. Anything else would get in the way – the magnets are designed to hold on through nearly any environment.
